                                                             Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday celebrating Jewish independence from a Greek king
The oil for their lamps was only enough for one day, but it lasted EIGHT DAYS So every year, for eight days, Jewish people light candles And eat food fried in oil There are eight sacred candles on a MENORAH.
How many candles are on this menorah? The date is different every year, but this year Hanukkah STARTS December 16 and ENDS on the night of December 24.Latkes are potatoe pancakes, sufaniyot are jelly douts.
